The Dolomites wouldn't be the same without forests

Alta Badia and WOWnature together for reforestation

In the autumn of 2018, many forests in Alta Badia suffered significant damage due to the violent Vaia storm. As a result, a bark beetle epidemic developed, causing even greater damage. Alta Badia, in collaboration with the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel, is supporting various initiatives aimed at restoring the damaged forest areas. In the spring and summer of 2020, the Campolongo area was cleared, and thanks to the WOWnature project, 2,000 larches and spruces were adopted and planted for reforestation.

But there’s more: by adopting a mature tree, you too can help clean up the forests that need maintenance, repair the trails, install information panels, and create themed paths like the forest-garden. Together, we can give concrete value to words like sustainability and environmental protection.

Music Forest

The playlist bringing the forest to life

In June 2024, the international Musixmatch team, in collaboration with Alta Badia and WOWnature, planted 150 trees in the WOWnature area at Passo Campologno. A total of 150 dedicated team members took part in this special event. Each of them had the opportunity to connect the lyrics of a song to a tree using a wooden tag, creating the unique music forest. As a lasting memory of this inspiring project, we have put together a special playlist. This playlist contains the songs that motivated and inspired the Musixmatch team during the tree planting campaign. Immerse yourself in the sounds of our Music Forest and enjoy the music that accompanied us during this important initiative.
