It is dawn and all around you there is silence and the unmistakable air of the Dolomites. You are on a typical Ladin farm. Waiting for you is a farmer who will accompany you to the barn, let you collect eggs, feed animals and who knows what else.

And here is the reason why you are here, in this enchanted place: to taste, discover and enjoy an authentic Ladin breakfast. Milk, butter, eggs, jam, honey, fresh bread and everything the farmer has to offer you surrounded by the landscape of the Dolomites.

Lüch Larcenei - Badia
Tuesday, 23 July

Immersed in absolute tranquillity, outside the village and with the Dolomites as a splendid backdrop, Herta and her husband welcome you to their mountain farm surrounded by meadows. And if you really want to see it, they will show you how to mow: an ancient art that still lives on here.

A breakfast centred on goat's milk. In fact, it is the goats that are the stars of the show on this magnificent farm with a wonderful view of the Dolomites. In addition to yoghurt and ricotta whey cheese, you can also get eggs straight from the henhouse. And after breakfast indoors, in the 'ciasota', or if the weather permits in the garden, you can visit the farm and feed the animals.

Meeting point: Oies – 7:45 a.m.. An Alta Badia guide will accompany you on a short panoramic hike to the farm.

Dolomites Farm - Colfosco
Tuesday, 6 August

In an old barn that has been disused for many years and completely renovated to accommodate alpacas, Alisa and Daniel have created a bio-farm in 2019. Not only alpacas live here, but also llamas, sheep, rabbits, chickens and bees that produce exquisite honey.

A breakfast with alpacas doesn't happen every day, but Alisa and Daniel have thought of everything. Set up outdoors, breakfast is served on tables overlooking the animal enclosures: a concrete way to experience the reality of the farm. And after enjoying delicious products, you can take a tour of the farm.

Meeting point: Hotel Luianta- 7:45 a.m. An Alta Badia guide will take you on a short panoramic hike to the farm.

Lüch Arslada - Badia
Tuesday, 3 September

There are very few mountain farms nowadays that produce butter, and Marisa is the exception that proves the rule. After all, it takes a lot of effort to make butter, but Marisa certainly doesn't shy away from it. Thanks to the secrets she learned from her mother, her butter is something special, reminiscent of the authentic and genuine flavours of the past.

Before breakfast you can feed the rabbits and collect the eggs, as fresh as ever. And then sit outside, weather permitting, and enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains. Or in the stüa, where you can treat yourself to butter, yoghurt, eggs, milk, bread, cheese and cold cuts produced on the farm.

Meeting point: Lüch Arslada – 8:00 a.m..

In a newly designed building, Olga and Stefan run the mountain farm according to sound old principles. Milk is the 'star' product of this farm, which, in addition to dairy products, i.e. butter, milk, cheese and yoghurt, offers pastry products in a small, cosy bar.

You will prepare something delicious to serve on the table along with home-made cakes, butter, cheese and yoghurt.
