The Tru Liösa Foram natural sledging trail starts on the Piz Sorega (2,003 m) and goes across fields and through woods beneath the Piz Sorega gondola lift to San Cassiano (1,537 m). The scenery along the route is quite enchanting: from the snowy Alpine pastures of the high plateau, you reach the Foram forest before a final spurt takes you down into the valley.

The average gradient on the sledging trail is about 10 to 15%. To keep sledging fans safe, 2.3 km of the sledging track has been protected with legally compliant timber edging.

The start of the trail can be reached by the Piz Sorega gondola lift from San Cassiano.

Turn-by-turn directions

The slope starts at Piz Sorega starts at an altitude of 2,003 metres and goes as far as San Cassiano at 1,537 metres. The overall length is little more than 3 km and along the run there are wooden protection devices over 2.3 km. The inclination varies from 10% to a maximum of 15%. The countryside you see during the descent is marvellous to say the least. It ranges from the beauty of mountain meadows covered in snow, to an intermediate run through the stupendous forests called "Foram" before then going towards the final "Schuss" that leads down to the valley.
The Piz Sorega departure point can easily be reached by means of the cable car Piz Sorega.

Directions

Follow the SS244 Val Badia road towards La Villa and continue on road SS37 to San Cassiano.
