Atolls that have emerged from the sea

Alta Badia’s nature parks, breathtaking splendour in the Dolomites

The Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park and Puez-Odle Nature Park. Then there is the towering fortress of the Sella mountain range with its majesty, the Piz Boé. Not to mention the enchanted rock sphinx of the Sassongher, the sheer immensity of the Sas dla Crusc - Santa Croce or the spires of Piz Lavarela with the Conturines by its side. A never-ending play of rocks shimmering gold and silver in the sun. On top of that, there are the verdant meadows, scattered with farmsteads and alpine pastures, and the breath of the forests that breezes by. It is hardly to be wondered why all of this has been considered world heritage for so many years. Experiencing Alta Badia and the Dolomites is a pleasure, preserving them our duty.

Inrosadöra, a masterpiece of nature

A sight for sore eyes

As the Dolomites glow pink at dusk and dawn, the sublime becomes part of us

Inrosadöra a masterpiece of nature

Inrosadöra, a gorgeous rose garden which glows in the rocks of the Dolomites

As the rays of the sun gently caress the mountains at daybreak or nightfall, we witness a natural phenomenon that we Ladins like to call inrosadöra, which means coloured in pink. Or to be more precise, it describes the moment when the rocks of the Dolomites - which consist of calcium carbonate and magnesium - are bathed in sunlight and start to glow in shades ranging from pink to orange and violet. A unique spectacle of nature.
