Ski Wine Ambassador

South Tyrol and Alta Badia are popular destinations for people who want to combine an active holiday immersed in nature with a wealth of top oenological and gastronomic products from the region.

Especially in recent years, Alta Badia has increasingly become the destination that offers the greatest variety of valuable moments of enjoyment in the mountains. In this respect, the experiences linked to wine and food in particular represent an appetising opportunity to discover our valley at 360°.

To further strengthen the winning combination of local wine and food and the cutting-edge skiing experience, the Alto Adige Wines consortium and Alta Badia have launched the Ski Wine Ambassador project involving local ski instructors as ambassadors of South Tyrolean wine and culture.

The ski instructors took part in a training course organised by the Alto Adige Sommelier Association, which provided the expertise of professional trainers to teach the ski instructors the basics of wine culture, wine tasting, and the differences and characteristics of South Tyrolean wines.

The training sessions brought the world of Alto Adige wines and the world of skiing even closer, making each participant a true ambassador for wine in particular and for Alto Adige in general.

The combination of spectacular natural landscapes, first class skiing, gastronomic and oenological experiences is unique in Alta Badia and thanks to the Ski Wine Ambassadors, skiing enthusiasts and winter holidaymakers can now look forward to an even more enjoyable and exciting winter.
