The daily life of our ancestors was strongly influenced by their religious beliefs, which was reflected in their private and working lives. The inhabitants of our valley, such almost all those in the surrounding Dolomites area, adhered to the rules of Catholicism and followed the dogmas prescribed by the Church, such as attending mass and observing religious holidays. Over the years, a number of festive traditions have developed. The period between Advent and New Year is particularly rich in them.
